Better now

I can hardly believe that it's been nearly 3 weeks since I posted. This has partly been due to Christmas and its baking, wrapping, entertaining and socialising demands, but mainly because I have been unwell. I've been suffering from what Winston Churchill referred to as 'the old black dog', and it has sapped my desire to do anything but the essentials and even meant that I have not wanted to do the things I love. Still, after a visit to my GP and some medication, I am beginning to start to pick up the threads agin (literally and metaphorically!) and also feeling that there is hope ahead.
I had to force myself to finish my Christmas Lights quilt, as it was destined for DS's bed over the festive period. There is minimal quilting, and while I'm thinking about adding more once the decorations come down on twelfth night, I expect I'm kidding myself! I think it looks good as it is, and he's delighted with it, so that's all that matters.

Sorry to hear you haven't been yourself. I hope the holidays give you a chance to rest and recover.

All the best for the new year!

Sorry to hear you were low in the run up to Christmas, but it's good news that you're feeling brighter now.
The quilt looks great and I'm sure it's cosy which is what really counts.
Best wishes for 2010.

Im sorry to hear you were down thru most of December...i think the holidays do that to us sometimes. So much running around, extra errands to do, obligations to meet...im usually quite the homebody, so by the end of December i am burned out and out of steam! In fact, by the afternoon on Christmas, Justin and i laid on the couch almost as if in a coma...and we are still not quite there yet! I hope you are feeling more yourself soon...and im sending some feel good mojo and healing juju your way :) (oh, and lots of hugs too!!!)

sorry that you've been on a bit of adowner. I sympathise as I suffer from depression aswell. Never feel guilty for having these moments. You wouldn't feel guilty if there was something physically wrong with you.

Love and hugs Gina xxx

Hi Lynda,
Hope you are now feeling better - I don't think this time of year helps, personally I always heave a sigh of relief at 'getting back to normal' after Christmas.
Take care,
Fiona
